What a lovely place!  Absolutely perfect for 5 people for a long weekend – we really enjoyed having the living room to hang out together in and made a wonderful dinner in one night – used ingredients from the organic market around the corner on Church Street – 2 doors down from the b&b’s.  Great organic ground bison & vegetables, lots of good stuff, definitely a worthy stop!  Duffy’s had delicious food – burgers, shephard’s pie and awesome fried cauliflower! And then, there’s the Cheatin’ Gourmet – wine, sauces, wine tasting, spices, wine… did we mention the wine?! :o

We’ll be back!

This place is beautiful, and made a perfect “home base” four our time in Utica.  We had such a great weekend.  Ron’s Cajun Connection had the best Cajun food we’ve ever had.  Our pontoon boat from Starved Rock Adventures was great fun too – the kids loved “tubing!”  They liked the ice cream at the Country Cupboard too.  And, of course, the Starved Rock Park was a lovely experience.

What a great place!  We really enjoyed our time here.  Starved Rock was a great hike.  We will be back to enjoy the area soon!

Your place is fabulous and it worked really well for both family vacation and girls’ time out.  All of us have very fond memories of enjoying the comforts of home and the cozy atmosphere in Utica. ... I hope we can come stay at the Retreat again soon.
